Congratulations to the Ossining Varsity Girls Basketball Team:
USA Today's Preseason #7 Team in the Country!
The Ossining Athletic Booster Club (OABC) is a volunteer organization that was created to promote athletic programs, recognize the achievements of teams and individual athletes and to assist the coaches and staff of Athletic Department of the Ossining School District in all ways possible.
The world of sports in many ways mirror life. Education, life accomplishments and contributions in the arts, sciences, business, and government involve teamwork, good sportsmanship, perseverance and self-discipline. Participation in the sports programs in the Ossining Schools is an ideal way for our children to learn these essential life skills. The OABC wants to make the sports experience available to all Ossining children in the best way possible.
We raise funds through memberships, concession and merchandise sales, and other events so that we can:
- Buy equipment needed by teams and players
- Fund scholarships for graduating scholar-athletes
- Sponsor tournaments and team events
- Host the Senior Athletic Awards Dinner
- Support an equipment swap
Parental membership and involvement is essential to helping the OABC achieve its mission. We are volunteers who wish to serve and lead by example for all those who will follow in our footsteps and to demonstrate to our children the importance of our mission.
